Browser Configuration Instructions
Thank you for selecting your Genitech Systems & Consulting as your Internet Service Provider.
Please read and download the following information. Before you begin the installation and set-up process described in these Configuration Instructions, you will need your user-specific parameters (provided you from Genitech).
We will contact you as soon as possible to complete the subscription process, provide you with your user-specific parameters, and help you configure your browser.
General Windows Users Browser Installation Tips:
- When you download Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, be sure to remember the folder where you are downloading the software.
- Find the folder where the file was downloaded into and double-click on the file.
- The installation program will prompt you through the install routine ( take the defaults when prompted unless you have a good reason to change them).
- Important Note: Once the installation is complete, you will need to restart your computer.
General Windows Users Browser Set-Up Tips:
Important Note: You will not be able to set-up your browser to access the Internet without configuring your browser with your user-specific parameters for your new Service Provider.
- Once you have restarted your computer, go to the folder where you installed your new software. Double-click on the Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer application icon to launch your new browser.

Netscape and Internet Explorer for Windows 95 and Windows 3.1 will auto detect your modem. However, it is a good idea to be familiar with your modem type and speed.

Set modem speed to the highest possible setting. If your modem will not initialize at the highest speed the first time you attempt to connect to the Internet, gradually reduce the speed and try again until you are connected.

Now, you will need to input your user-specific parameters provided you from Genitech) which include:
Dial-up Server Type, Your User Name & Pop3 Mail-User Name, Your Assigned Password, Our Domain Name, Our Primary & Secondary Server IP Addresses, Our Pop3 & SMTP Mail Servers, Your Email Address, Your Email Account User Name, and Our Local Access Phone Number.
